Our client, Mr. C was falsely accused of burglary and murder after he was unwittingly roped into driving the alleged offenders to the scene of the crime. An enthusiastic person who’s always willing to help, he drove the two acquaintances, and was shocked when they returned and one of them was stabbed. After immediately driving them to the hospital, he was later charged with murder and burglary. Thanks to a diligent defence team, our lawyers ensured that all false charges were dropped, ensuring our client went home a free man.

Mr. C was always a friendly, helpful person – and he loved to drive. This meant that he often helped his friends and acquaintances travel around and was always willing to drive them over. On one fateful day, he helped two acquaintances who he barely knew and ended up getting implicated in a burglary and a murder, resulting in his wrongful arrest.

During the time of the offense, Mr. C was driving with his friend, Mr. R and picked up two of his acquaintances, Mr. H and Mr. L. After dropping them off where they needed to go, Mr. R asked him to wait for a few minutes for them to return. Upon their return, Mr. L was bleeding profusely, and Mr. C was worried and immediately drove them to a hospital. A few hours later, Mr. C was arrested for murder and burglary

Initially thinking that he did not need a lawyer at the police station as he was innocent, he attended the first police interview alone, and his nervousness and fear over the situation resulted in an adverse result.

After contacting us to represent him, our criminal defence solicitors immediately took charge and were determined to uncover the truth. Beginning with the evidence submitted by the prosecution, our lawyers closely and meticulously analysed all submitted evidence, for any biases and inconsistencies. Our murder lawyers also worked closely with forensic experts to examine any DNA at the scene of the offence, along with CCTV footage from the street outside. Furthermore, they contacted our client’s close friends, family members, and co-workers to ascertain his character and sense of moral judgement.

Our criminal defence solicitors discovered that the charges were patently false – CCTV footage showed that our client never left the vehicle, and his DNA was not found on the site. As for his involvement, his friends and co-workers all testify to his good character, willingness to help, and pleasant nature – and confirmed that our client was not friends with the other offenders, and was merely offering a favour but had no idea what they intended.

During the trial, our murder lawyers submitted a diligent, persuasive, exhaustive defence that proved our client’s innocence, convincing the judge and the jury to immediately drop all false charges and acquit our client.
