Legal Practice Manager - £35k - £50k
A Legal Practice Manager is responsible for a magnitude of issues which underpin the firm’s overall performance, compliance with regulations, morale of the staff and the bottom line.
It’s often said that a firm is ‘made or broken’ on the back of the Legal Practice Manager and we certainly believe it is.
Whilst our Managing Director has operated the Legal Practice Manager function for many years, given the growth and expansion of the firm, we are inviting interest from those with the skill and experience to help drive this firm forwards and take on this very challenging role.
The list of responsibilities are far too wide to list here but the main duties are to:
Manage the staff, their day to day workloads, their efficiency and their morale
Manage the needs and facilities for the practice to function effectively
Manage the day to day obligations of the business
Manage the firm’s Lexcel / Legal 500 / Chambers accreditations and ensure constant compliance with the same
Manage compliance with the Legal Aid Agency’s contract and specifications
Manage quality of services and client satisfaction
Ensure new clients and enquiries are handled promptly, 24/7
Handle complaints and bring amicable resolutions for clients and help improve our services
Manage the brand, reputation and presence of the firm
Manage performance data and financial records and reports for the Directors
Support the Directors in the implementation and execution of Executive Decisions.
This is an extremely challenging role, suitable only for those:
With law based higher qualifications such as LLB, LLM, LPC, BVC; and
With at least 2 years previous experience of managing a law practice; and / or
With former practising Solicitor or Barrister status; and / or
With significant experience as a Law Clerk / Criminal Justice Sector employee; and /or
With experience of working with the Legal Aid Agency, the Bar Standards Board or the Solicitors Regulation Authority
Our remuneration package is as follows:
£35,000 to £50,000 salary
