Mr. K and the complainant, Mr. J were childhood friends for over 15 years and had developed a close friendship. However, the two had a falling out when Mr. J developed a drug addiction, resulting in his apartment becoming a common house for drug users. After a few years of complaints, events came to a head – involving Mr. J, Mr. K and loan sharks that Mr. J had borrowed money from.
